Brand is the basis of everything we do here at designdough. Constructing solid foundations whilst respecting clear brand values, offerings and vision, will ensure that everything built from there will flourish.

Brands that are created with heart and integrity will inspire thought and feeling. It’s our job to ensure that your brand’s first impression is a good one, and that’s not as easy as it sounds.

There are plenty of agencies out there willing to paint a pretty picture to better promote a company to the masses, but what makes designdough different is our appreciation and use of the subtleties of design, our considered creative process, and an in-depth understanding of the design psychology involved.

We’re fully invested in brand from the very beginning; it’s not about how it looks, it’s about how it makes you feel, and in today’s visually shallow culture, it’s important to hang on to the feelings; they’re what count.  They shape brands.

Immersive Workshops

Our brand workshops are immersive to say the least. From day one, allowing our clients to get on the same page as us, and us them, is key to creating and shaping a meaningful and authentic outcome.

Many clients have so much in their heads; so many ideas, thoughts, feelings, directions and options, that they often struggle to articulate or get them down on paper in order to solidify and move forward. Although challenging, our workshops are the perfect way of doing this in a relaxed environment (although expect to leave mentally exhausted!).

We use workshops to kick off all brand projects in order to really get to the centre of the problem, ask questions and challenge answers. They signify the beginning of the creative process and enable us to start to work with clients rather than for clients. All of the findings are then digested, stripped apart and put back together in a structured way to create a plan to drive the brand forward.

Our workshops are the starting point that enable us to show clients how their brand can evolve in order to deliver more than they ever thought possible.






















































Long Term Strategy

Our brands are for those who appreciate the long-game; those that value their decisions enough to not be a flash-in-the-pan or overnight success.

The first step when Shaping a Brand is to fully get to know the client; their wants, dreams, aims, aspirations, fears, strengths and weaknesses. This is more than just how a person or business looks, its about how they feel, how they communicate and how they WANT to be seen.


Visual Identity

A company’s logo or mark should be unique, recognisable and beautifully formed, but its only part of the story…

The visual identity is the really fun bit for us! It’s the point at which we’re able to take everything we’ve learned about the business, from company history, market research and brand values, to strategy and future aspirations, and begin to visually represent that as an all-encompassing brand personality. This is much more than just designing a mark or logo; we create the frameworks with which to use the brand as a whole, including colour, tone of voice, application and typography.

Brand Guidelines

We see brands as living, breathing things with their own personalities, voices, beliefs and appearances.

We’ve made it our job to nurture these brands, help them grow and establish a supportive and collaborative relationship with them, so if they happen to run into trouble or are unsure where to turn, they can always return for advice and guidance about the next steps forward.

Successful branding is ALL about consistency, so we create brand guidelines that give clear sets of rules to ensure visual and textual uniformity across all channels, whether in print or digital.
