Oct…ember Moodboard

Whoooops…it’s nearly halfway through November and we’re only just getting round to posting our October moodboard. Where does the time go? As fast as we said hello to October, we now say goodbye and there are only 43 days until Christmas. WHAT!?!?. We feel like we say this every month but seriously, the work is FLOWING. We’re nearing the end of Annual Report season but that hasn’t stopped the sheer amount of established businesses and start-ups deciding that 2018 is the year to shake up the status quo and their brand offering. To say we’re delighted to lend a hand is an understatement. We’re working on some CORKERS!

This month we witnessed a studio transition with Dan and Alex leaving us for pastures new. We loved every second of working with them and wish them the best of luck in their new ventures. With that being said, WE WILL HAVE 2 NEW TEAM MEMBERS joining us in the coming months, if they pass our rigorous personality tests, bleep test and rope climb challenge. Not only this, there will be a timed BOP-IT session to check reflexes. We would share these results with you but they form part of a highly confidential personnel file and we can’t break employee/employer privileges, you see.

You may well have heard that designdough is moving studios very soon, and we’re so excited to show you our new workspace. We’re currently juggling client work and laying flooring, painting and general sprucing but our new home should be ready very soon and you’re all invited to take a peep inside. We’ll be sharing snaps of our DIY renovation process as well as us moving our kit and kaboodle over the new space very soon so keep your eyes peeled. We’re sad to say goodbye to Mount Stuart House as it’s been so integral in how our brand and the designdough business has grown, but new horizons are opening for us and we need space to grow and flex our creative muscles even further…plus our new place has solar panels – just sayin’. Stay tuned!

In other news, James celebrated his 31st birthday in style with a trip to a Michelin starred restaurant (…we weren’t invited *tut*) and a bottle of very expensive wine all to himself. Joe took a very civilised trip to London and popped into the Tate Modern for a dash of culture and a chance to skid around in his socks on the new Turbine Hall exhibit floor – a polished and heat sensitive panelled piece that apparently turns white when exposed to body heat. Needless to say he was zooming over it too quickly to notice but fear not, the artistic integrity of the piece was definitely appreciated…

We know we’ve been quiet on this front, but our selected Brand Labs brand is now well underway with the first few rounds of the strategy and visual identity making waves with our client. This one is under NDA for now, which is very exciting and official, but hopefully explains why we’ve been so hush hush about it. As soon as we can, we’ll be sharing the outcomes with you lovely lot and can’t wait to show off our collaboration with this amazing company.

So without further ado…
