As an alternative accommodation directory, specialising in unique and quirky properties, ToWander’s website is their most important asset.

But more than a directory of cool and unique places to stay, this is a family business, born of a genuine desire to support other like-minded property owners to advertise their accommodation.

Creating a visually appealing website that functions, connects and engages with both guests and property owners in a seamless, stress-free way, was at the heart of the project.

Evolving a brand for the future

To align ToWander with the future vision of their business, we implemented a thoughtful brand refresh that preserved their identity, yet offered maximum impact. By holding on to their signature gold colour and brand marque, it means they retain their established brand recognition, and a new contemporary yet professional design, elevates their presence in the busy marketplace and strengthens their competitive positioning as a unique, independent business.

User-centred navigation and intuitive wayfinding

One of ToWander’s primary goals was to develop a website that simplifies planning a unique trip  for users. This was achieved by implementing a carefully designed user-friendly navigation system and intuitive way-finding for effortless access to key information. Features such as a custom search filter,  specially selected collections, favourites, and blogs, and a favouriting system for saving preferred properties, allows  users to navigate and interact with the website according to their preferences.
These features benefit both users and property owners, streamlining the booking process for users, while increasing property visibility and potential bookings for owners.

Optimisation for smarter management

One of ToWander’s previous pain points was that client interactions and updates to listings were handled through convoluted processes. We streamlined this by creating a master admin panel, which allows the ToWander team to have full control over all client listings, and switch between them quickly, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the board. This centralisation not only enhances operational efficiency but also reinforces ToWander’s commitment to providing exceptional customer care — a core value at the heart of their business.

Empowering owners and driving success

A significant part of the web process was the development of a bespoke dashboard for owners; a central hub where owners can explore, communicate and manage their listings — ultimately helping them grow their business. Here they can observe their listings’ interactions with analytical data and control and manage their bookings with an internal messaging system. New webinars and downloads features mean owners can also learn tips & tricks on how to elevate their listings.
